Supper Quiz Success and Research Update!

The fourth Nicki’s Smile Supper Quiz took place on Sunday with a fantastic turnout of over 300 people helping to raise over £11,000!

Fuelled by delicious food from The Aviv it was the imaginatively named ‘Unfinished Quizness’ who triumphed in the entertaining quiz hosted by QuizQuizQuiz.

In the 6 years since foundation Nicki’s Smile has raised over £600,000 and funded twopioneering research projects. These projects have provided incredibly valuable output to the wider pancreatic cancer research community and are the first steps on the road to improving early diagnosis research.

Nicki’s Smile is now excited to announce it’s third project: to help fund a new initiative called the ‘research sandpit’. Convened with the help of our partner, Pancreatic Cancer UK, the sandpit will bring together the UK’s leading pancreatic cancer researchers with the common aim of building a workable early diagnosis research proposal to drive us forward, find new biomarkers and approaches to improve early diagnosis.

It is envisaged that the successful research proposal will commence next summer and we will update you on progress in the coming months.
